Yes they do a good selection of real ales and wines. But where this shop really stands out is the range of whiskeys. Malt whiskeys, Irish whiskeys, Canadian whiskeys, Japanese malt whiskeys, grain whiskeys, welsh malt whiskey, basically they have a range from every area and every type of malt whiskey there is from all over the world. They stock all the whiskey awards winners, and the staff are very knowledgeable about the subject.
So whether you want a stand out special malt worth £200 plus, or a cheap little known gem (like black bottle £15 blend of islay malts that's superior to the single malts that were blended to make it) you will find it here. Just beware its so easy to go in for one specific bottle and come away with 10 or more.
My final proof, I do a round trip of 80 miles to shop here because I can't find anywhere nearer that stock such a wide range, or such specialist malt whiskey's as the Dram Shop.
