I really enjoyed the year I spent in Hulme Hall. There is a main old building with the main facilities (dining room, bar) and some rooms which are big but fairly souless. The other rooms are in 60s style blocks around a quadrant. They are fairly basic, but have everything you need and are clean and well-kept. Hulme Hall is mainly catered, two meals per day, and the food is ok. There are communal kitchens on each corridor for lunch and snacks. Each block has its own common room. The bar is very g (more...)

I spent a few very happy years at Hulme Hall. Hulme Hall is basically a fully-catered student hall of residence for Manchester University students. There are a few self-catered rooms available, but that's the exception, not the rule. When I say fully catered, what I mean is two meals per day, breakfast (8 til 9am) and dinner at about 5pm.
