A very cool place. What a find, loved it. The location is incrediable. It really is in the middle of no-where. Sensitive design and good food. We have eaten twice, one day after the other, as it was such a discovery. To find somewhere like this is this location is a real gem. And the owner, I think called Marwan was very charming and funny, and a great chef. He has plans to open, what seems to be a B&B Design. Can't wait to go back and try it out.

Brilliant. Up a small hill just outside the village of Mauvezin, Chateau Engalin is a very modern and elegant restaurant. It had only been open for about 2 months when I was here two days ago, but they seem to be doing well. There's lots of big, open outdoor seating - settees along one side, a nice touch - with large shading parasols. It's modern, black and white, but with a few nice older-looking touches (wrought iron wall fixtures, for example). Inside is relaxed and even more modern. (more...)
