I have frequently visited cafe delight ofr breakfast or lunch on a lazy weekend morning, and I love it. If you can manage to secure yourself a table (it gets really really busy, especially on a saturday morning) and squeeze yourself in between all the children that are running around. Friendly staff, and good food. What makes a cafe great. I've never been to any of the music events, but i've heard that they're great, so definitely worth going back again.

I love this place becuase every member of staff in there is friendly and has a great musical/artistic background. It is very alternative, and has a great menu. The cake is especially exquisite. There are many places to frequent on Gloucester Road but this is the best in terms of atmosphere and range. A great cafe.

This cafe is run by an ex-music teacher which explains its musical atmosphere! It is a friendly warm place, run by lovely people. The food is good quality and not expensive, it kind of reminds me of a greasy spoon mixed with a music bar like Mr. Wolfs. Definately one of the best cafes on the Gloucester Road.

The food is quite nice here (and a good price too,) and they sell alcohol in the evening if you're bored of pubs, with tables outside if you want to smoke. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back and a little artsy, with local artists work for sale on the walls...which I would buy if I had the money. Look out for the music events that they sometimes put on because they've always been great when I've been along - quite intimate and interesting - including pheramin players a (more...)
