The Cologne ropeway is centred in the middle of Cologne. By using it you can gain a fantastic view over Cologne.
Under the ropeway there is both the big green park of Cologne that is called "Rheinpark" and the river "Rhein" as well.
One way takes about 15 minutes and a great picture of the cathedrale can be taken as well.
For those ones who dont look for a special view over cologne at day, I recommend to use the ropeway at night.
