The main train station here is aqequately large and has trains heading all over Germany (and Paris too!) and while it lacks somewhat in entertainment (if you're waiting for three hours for a connecting train!) it's organized and easy to navigate although there are areas that still need escalators!
This station is actually a DB train station, an S bahn station and a U bahn station so once you arrive to Stuttgart there's a BIG chance that you don't need to take a taxi or a bus and just head for (more...)aygul

Stuttgart Main Station is in a really good location within Stuttgart, it's right in the center of city and close to the main shopping street Königstraße.
From the outside at the entrance the Main Station building looks very nice with a large, rotating and illuminated Mercedes-Benz symbol on the top of 12-storey tower and considered one of Stuttgart sightseeings.
The Main Station is also very close to buses, so you can easily find all transport connections.
